Elizabeth is currently studying Illustration Design with Animation at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. She loves nature and gets a lot of inspiration from it, so the current situation of ecological destruction doesn't sit well with her.
My Story
Water is a crucial element to sustain life. We use it in our daily life, farming, industrial activities, etc. But as the amount of clean water decreases due to pollution, people have suffered from being forced to, or not even knowing they’re consuming contaminated water. Not to mention this also damages the environment.
Water pollution has been a major issue in many countries across Asia, especially in developing countries where corporations can take advantage of cheap labor and lack of government's restriction regarding the environment. Many Asian countries do not have drinkable tap water. Many people still lack access to pipe water and had to rely on river water, which are often not adequate quality for any kind of healthy use due to the pollution.
Through this project the artist hopes to at least spread more awareness of this issue. You can't always see the threat, but it is still there unless we do something about it.
